Lummi Island · County Ferry Route

European Auto Repair for Lummi Island Drivers

A repair visit from Lummi Island includes a county-ferry crossing before the drive to Bellingham. Calling ahead helps make the mainland trip as useful as possible.

01

A distinct ferry trip

The Whatcom Chief connects Lummi Island with Gooseberry Point. This Whatcom County ferry is separate from the Washington State Ferries routes serving the San Juan Islands, so use the county schedule and service notices when planning your crossing.

Ferry operations can change with weather, maintenance and annual dry-dock periods. Jsport cannot control ferry access or border and transportation conditions.

02

Call before bringing the vehicle

Tell us the year, make, model, mileage, service history and what the vehicle is doing. We can discuss the appointment and what records to bring, but repair timing and diagnosis depend on inspection and parts availability.

Jsport performs European diagnostics, maintenance and repair at our Bellingham shop. We do not have an island branch, offer ferry pickup or provide mobile service.

03

Safety comes before the crossing

If the vehicle is overheating, leaking heavily, showing a flashing warning light or feels unsafe, call before driving onto the ferry. A ferry reservation or appointment should never be treated as a reason to continue driving an unsafe vehicle.

Current travel resources
